I started my journey as a piano technician in 2021 at Berklee College of Music as an apprentice in the Piano Technology department. What started out as an part-time job towards the end of my degree became a valued career when I accepted a full-time position at the College in 2023. While in the position, I was one of five full-time technicians maintaining over 500 acoustic pianos. Continuously striving to improve my skills, I have so far attended two week-long trainings at the Steinway & Sons factory in New York City; Regulation (2025) and Voicing (2026), with the intention of attending more as they become available. I also strove to obtain the Registered Piano Technician certification, which I completed in 2026. The RPT consists of three rigorous exams testing complete knowledge of the craft. After working in Boston for five years, my husband and I made the decision to move to the Capital Region.
